Dolphin Living is a charitable housing organisation which provides affordable accommodation in central London to key workers on modest incomes. Across nine inner city boroughs, Dolphin Living is building a portfolio of apartments ranging in size from studio to three bedrooms, all designed to offer efficient modern living with light airy interiors and community facilities.

We believe that designing high-quality, truly affordable homes which our tenants are proud to live in is vital for retaining key workers in London. In Hopkin Street, Soho, Dolphin Living partnered with Barratt Homes to construct a highly sustainable development of 78 apartments. The building also offers a street level retail and restaurant space and a tenants’ roof terrace garden for a real community feel. The apartments have been designed with a light and airy feel, each fitted with Van Gogh Country Oak (pictured above) with its rustic appearance of unfinished timbers in a cool mid-brown shade. Large windows allow light to flood the open plan living rooms, highlighting the attractive knot and grain details of the flooring for a warm elegant atmosphere.
In West Kensington, a development of 29 apartments in Gorleston Street offers tenants well thought out open plan living spaces that have been designed with a neutral colour palette and natural textures to give a fresh feel that links the interior to the outside environment. Van Gogh French Oak (pictured below) has been installed throughout the apartments, offering a practical yet sophisticated floor with subtle light blond tones and realistic oak textures.
New tenants have welcomed the functional yet elegant interiors of the new developments, with many providing valuable feedback such as “the flooring is beautiful, almost looks like the real thing” and “if I buy my own house, this is the flooring I would go for”.
