We’re finalists: Mixology Awards

Posted on the 21/07/2020 by Karndean Designflooring

We’re thrilled to announce that our Heritage Collection has been shortlisted in the prestigious Mixology20 Awards.

Organised by Mix Interiors magazine, our Heritage Collection is in the running for one of the most sought after accolades: 'Product of the Year – Flooring'.

Recently launched, our Heritage Collection is a creative range featuring exquisite designs inspired by the architectural tiled floors of grand Victorian and Regency villas and townhouses.

The Heritage Collection is designed to give the opulent look of classic geometric tiles and presents ten new colours, from timeless terracotta, crimson and gold to contemporary dove grey, taupe and baby blue, alongside two Opus designs Luna and Nero. All 12 shades are available in square, triangular and octagonal tiles which can be mixed and matched in any combination to create a truly bespoke floor.

Whether used to create a statement floor across an open plan space, identify different working areas or to define walkways, our Heritage Collection offers potential to create a unique space with the architectural elegance of a historic design but with all the benefits of luxury vinyl flooring.

Tool and Gauge Kitchen

Tool & Gauge Kitchen is a café and shared kitchen facility located within the new Frome Business Park in Somerset. The collaborative technology centre has been converted from a disused warehouse to provide a unique hub space with a resimercial design for a warm friendly atmosphere.

Three complementary monochrome designs from the Heritage Collection - Clifton, Lansdown and Montpellier – have been used to create a floor with individuality and interest. The flooring design combines the geometric patterns with borders to create zones and walkways, identifying different working areas and supporting wayfinding. Completing the look, a bespoke design on the stairs to the upper office spaces offers a quirky humorous feature.

"We’re thrilled to be in the running for such a prestigious industry award,” commented Fleur Carson, commercial sales director of Karndean Designflooring.

She said: “Mixology20 is a highly significant night in the design calendar and it will be a privilege to be amongst professionals in the commercial interiors sector.

Just to be shortlisted in this particular category is a real honour and testament to the success of our Heritage Collection.”

Judging will take place online over the coming weeks. Be sure to follow us on Instagram @karndean_uk to stay updated.
