Case Study: Boise State University

Posted on the 2020-10-11 by Karndean Designflooring

After a period of rapid growth and rebranding, The Bronco Shop bookstore and retail store at Boise State University required a retrofit to match the school's new identity. Previously two separate spaces, a priority of the remodel was to create one cohesive space with clearly defined walkways to guide students, families, and alumni through the store. Concerned with durability and the cost of subfloor preparation, the school worked with their local Karndean Designflooring Commercial Business Manager and ultimately chose two colours from the Korlok Select rigid core range. Due to its waterproof K-Core technology, Korlok Select was installed directly over the existing concrete subfloors without the use of adhesive. "The installation went much faster than we had expected and because the product didn't need adhesive, we didn't need to worry about closing the store," Senior Designer of Architectural & Engineering Services, Kylene Collette said.
