Located in downtown Victoria, BC, Russell Books is Canada’s largest independent bookstore. Boasting over one million books to choose from and growing, Russell Books firmly believes in the importance of literacy within the community.
Having outgrown their retail space, Russell Books knew it was time to move to a larger, more accommodating location. Needing a floor that was not only durable, but also stylish, the team settled on Karndean’s Merbau visual. Merbau features a deep contrasting plank that fits the design concept for their new location, making for a cosier and classic bookstore experience.
The Van Gogh collection has been a commercial favourite for over 20 years. Russell Books describes it as “the perfect solution for underneath our heavy bookshelves. It was imperative we chose a product that could hold up to the heavy weight of the filled shelves, as previous products failed to do so. Built with a 20mil wear layer, we had peace of mind knowing the product was both durable and hard-wearing.”
