K & M Design firm in Gatineau Quebec creates personalized spaces for clients, making sure their interior design dreams come to life. The pair have worked together for the past 7 years, building K&M Design from the ground up. Having recently moved their company into a new space, Karine and Marie-Andrée trusted Karndean Designflooring for their office renovation.

The first time Karine and Marie-Andree saw Karndean was in Sandbanks, Ontario – as soon as they saw the design, they both said, “Wow. I want this floor.” When they discovered the floor was Karndean Designflooring, they contacted Karndean immediately so they could start specifying floors for upcoming projects.
Moody and sophisticated, Tenebra Walnut floor has beautiful dark tones and emphasizes the natural characteristics of original walnut. The word “Tenebra,” a romantic Latin name for darkness, affirms the bewitching characteristic of this floor that the designers envisioned for their new space.
The design inspiration for this project focuses on the duo’s love for black, white, and gold features. The goal was to create a space for both men and women, where clients could feel comfortable while showing off K&M’s personality throughout their space. The look is industrial, but their design is chic, vintage with a hint of glam – a look they describe suits everybody. Wood furniture accentuates the office-space, matching the black, white and gold features, as well as the floor. Adding in mirrors and numerous glass decorations helped to make the space look larger and brighter.
